MARQUIS; A new party destination.

MARQUIS (Pronounced as Marquee literally translates to a large tent used for social or commercial functions) is a new party destination in Bengaluru. How wonderful it is to have a lavish night club by Radisson Blu. Talking more about the place, it is in Radisson Blu hotel which sits in Marathahalli. An Italian architect named Gussape Morando from spacematrix (An Italian architecture company) designed this pulchritude which really turned out to be one of the few splendid night clubs in the city.


Marquis is also one of the very few completely licensed discotheques in Bengaluru which is ready to entertain it’s patrons. Interiors are very stylish with premium couches, a big screen for DJ and a spacious dance floor. They have a flea market themed kitchen named M-Kitchen where all the dishes listed in the menu are displayed on the wall with pictures. Sticking to the theme , they serve all the dishes in  paper  bowls and the menu is a concoction of various delicacies from various parts of the world. From childhood , my love towards food is unfaltering and that has made me a food blogger today. I would always love to feast my taste buds with various flavors. In recent times, I heard quite a lot about the ”Melange –by Radisson blu” as one of the brilliant places to have a buffet. Being a food explorer, I could hardly resist to pay a visit. An amazing rooftop restaurant which serves you incredible cocktails

Well, it’s hard to think of another rooftop restaurant in Bhanergatta Road other than “The Yellow Submarine”. I was astonished by their food , drinks and ambience and the spectacular view from this rooftop is one thing which you can die for. They have karaoke and live band performances on weekends. The breeze will make you to lean back for a while with a glass of drink.


I was there for a lunch with a cluster of foodies to indulge in food. Candidly, I never heard of this restaurant before and I didn’t had any expectations on food. We have tasted wide range of dishes covering different Cuisines.I would really appreciate the way they presented the dishes.

Cubed watermelon 🍉 (Salad)
The pieces of watermelon was cut in a cube shape and fita cream, mint and sweet chili was poured on its top. It tastes little spicy.

Veg cutlis :
The vegetables are mashed and the outer portion was fried to golden perfection. This dish was accompanied by pickle which is a fantastic combination.


Margarita and Tandoori chicken pizzas :
Both the pizzas are of thin crust and pretty big. The margarita pizza was loaded with less toppings and marinara sauce was spread out on it equally. The chicken Pizza crust was little overcooked and on the top it was moderately loaded with toppings like onion, tomato and cilantro. The taste was good and it could be better.

Masala papad with mint foam :
The papads are very handy and are in the size of panipuri. It was served with foam on its top. The taste was average.

Shitake mushroom with chilli sauce :
Though they marked this dish as a spicy one in the menu, I thought I could tolerate the level of spice. But this dish proved me wrong. This mushrooms will just hit your tastebuds with chilli sauce which is extremely spicy. It goes really well with hot drinks.


Mango mint paneer tikka :
It was one of my favourite dishes overthere. The paneer is so fresh, juicy and succulent. The Mango and mint flavours are perfectly adhered to paneer and it will just melt in your mouth with it’s pleasing taste.


Lotus stem chips :
This starter is definitely a must try. The stem chips are perfectly sauted to golden brown and mixed with the pieces of chilli, cilantro and spring onions. The chips and slightly crunchy and taste was just amazing.

Samosa chat with beetroot hummus :
This is one of their signature dishes. The beetroot hummus was something which I never tried before. It tasted really good with the samosa.

Baked cheesecake :
This was a blueberry cheesecake. The crust was good and the Middle portion was so soft and creamy. Delicious Blueberry mash was poured on its top. This is definitely a must try.

Saffron and coconut pudding tart :
Coconut pudding taste almost resembles payasam and was filled in a hard tart base. It is simply toothsome.

It’s definitely worth paying a visit. The prices of dishes are pretty decent and quite affordable. Would you like to throw a party to your mates? Then do pay a visit at your leisure.
